Rules of engagement
Basic rules (read this before blaming the judge)
One player is the judge each round. The judge does not submit an answer. Democracy has limits.
Everyone else plays one answer card that best completes the prompt. “Best” is a legal term meaning “whatever makes the judge laugh.”
Submitted answers are shuffled and shown without names. If you recognize your own writing, remain calm and deny everything.
The judge picks one winner. The winner earns points, then becomes the next judge. Power corrupts; cards accelerate the process.
If you run out of time, the game may submit a random card or pick a random winner. The clock has no empathy.
Keep chat in the room, don’t spoil hidden hands unless the host enables open spectating, and don’t be a menace to actual humans.
Classic mode is the baseline: 10 cards, 30 seconds to answer, 2 minutes to judge, one point per win, and no random events. Pure chaos must be opt-in.

Random events
Events are disabled in Classic, always. In other eligible modes, the host can enable them. Possible disasters include Double Trouble, Quick Draw, Bonus Bounty, Judge’s Curse, Triple Threat, Jackpot, Judge Tax, Mercy Round, Judge’s Payday, and Last Laugh. The event for the round appears above the prompt and is enforced by the game server, not by wishful thinking.
Team games
In Team Chaos, players are split between Team Inferno and Team Chaos. Your team’s score is the combined score of its members. You still cannot judge your own round submission, because even chaos needs a referee.
